Four area high school softball players participated in the Oregon 5A softball all-star series in Eugene.

Lebanon’s Riley Johnson and Kaylee Peters, Sydney Joss of Corvallis and Alina Bitter of South Albany played in the series, which included many of the top graduating seniors in the state.

Area players played for the South, which won both games, 17-7 and 8-5.

The 5A softball all-state teams were recently announced.

Lebanon junior Renel Coker was named a second-team outfielder, sophomore teammate Lauren Christie a third-team pitcher and Johnson to the honorable mention as an infielder after helping the Warriors to a state runner-up finish.
