LOS ANGELES — The Oregon State softball team lost for the sixth time in its last seven Pac-12 Conference games on Thursday with an 8-4 setback at No. 2 UCLA.

The Bruins did get a battle from the Beavers, however, not pulling away until putting up a four-spot in the sixth inning.

Amanda Najdek went the distance in the circle for OSU. She allowed 10 hits and five walks with two strikeouts to fall to 9-15 on the season.

Offensively, Kori Nishitomi and Isabelle Batayola each had two hits. Dani Gilmore collected three of the team’s four RBIs.

OSU (13-24, 3-11 Pac-12) and the Bruins (37-4, 10-3) will play again at 6 p.m. Friday.
