OSU baseball: Several Beavers playing this summer

A number of Oregon State baseball players will be competing this summer, with a majority of them taking part in the West Coast League.

Outfielder Michael Howard and catcher Logan Ice will be staying close to home as they will play for the Corvallis Knights.

Pitchers Philip Belding and Jake Thompson, and first baseman Billy King will play for the Bend Elks.

Catcher Nate Esposito, pitcher John Pomeroy and incoming recruit Drew Rasmussen will play for Wenatchee.

First baseman Gabe Clark (Victoria), pitcher Kevin Flemer (Kelowna), infielder Caleb Hamilton (Cowlitz) and pitcher Trent Shelton (Medford) are also in the WCL.

Shortstop Trever Morrison and pitcher Chandler Eden will play for Falmouth in the prestigious Cape Cod League.

Outfielder Jeff Hendrix will play for Eau Claire in the Northwoods League and infielder Tyler Mildenberg will play for the Alaska Goldpanners in the Alaska League.
