William Higlin has been appointed as the Liquor Licensing Director for the Oregon Liquor Control Commission. Higlin begins his new position Monday, May 12, 2014.
Higlin comes to the OLCC from SPIELO G2, where he was Director of Sales for all of North America. Higlin is no stranger to state government; he held several positions during his 15 years at the Oregon Lottery; starting as a Sales Associate and working his way up to Assistant Director of Retail Operations.
“Will understands that the economic success of each of our partners begins with solid licensing decisions,” says Steven Marks, OLCC Executive Director. “The knowledge he brings to building and maintaining business relationships will aid in building a supportive environment that ensures licensees and their employees are ready and able to responsibly manufacture, sell, and serve alcohol.”
After leaving the Lottery, Higlin became the Director of Regional Marketing at GTECH Corporation before being promoted to Senior Director of Sales for the startup, GTECH Printing Corporation.
Higlin holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Education from Oregon State University. He lives in Salem with his wife Patty where they raised three daughters. As a family they continue to cheer on their favorite team - the OSU Beavers.
