Nick Brooks is the right choice for Lebanon’s School Board, Zone 5. Because there will be no voter’s pamphlet published for this election, it is important that Lebanon voters understand their choice.

Nick has volunteered thousands of hours for Lebanon’s youth. Nick is actively involved in the Lebanon community. He is a member of Lebanon Optimists Club, the Lebanon Warrior Booster Club, and past president and current board member of the Lebanon Baseball Association. He has coached football, baseball and basketball.

Nick was recognized by the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Greater Santiam in 2015 as Volunteer of the Year and by the Lebanon Chamber of Commerce as the 2015 Youth Coach of the Year.

Because of his commitment to hold himself and others accountable to follow process and applicable standards, rules and laws, Nick has the support of teachers and staff in the district. He has been endorsed as the strongest candidate in Zone 5 by the Lebanon Education Association and Lebanon Educational Support Professionals Association.

Nick was recently named Mill Manager at Weyerhaeuser Santiam Sawmill. This speaks not only to his leadership skills, but also to his ability to manage a multi-million dollar budget. Santiam is an industry model of efficiency and productivity. Nick will support agriculture and trades education in the schools, and seek community and industry partnerships.

If elected to the Lebanon School Board, Brooks has pledged to put students first. He is committed to listening to the community. Nick has high standards for himself and for others. It is time that our board focus on issues that matter to our students, teachers, and community. A functional, collaborative, deliberative school board is possible with Nick Brooks.
