September 23, 1927 — February 9, 2018

Jim Birlie Peters, 90, of Albany passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Duke, Oklahoma, to Birlie & Lola Peters. The last 40 years he was married to his loving wife Rose Peters.

He was a mechanic by trade for 40 years and had a passion for farming.

He loved to golf, fish, and was a champion card player who didn’t like to lose. Nothing made him happier than to win at cards, which he did most of the time.

Jim was a good husband and provider who truly loved his family.

He is survived by his wife, Rose; sons, Lynn and Ron Peters; daughters, Dondra Jensen, Debra Chase, Jeanette Kropf, Jeanna Cruz; stepchildren, Debi Baker, Doug Willis, Teresa Zuercher, Tina Brunker; brother, Cecil Peters; 18 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be from noon to 12:45 p.m. on Thursday, February 15, at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. Funeral Services will follow at 1 p.m., also at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. Entombment to follow at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens & Mausoleum, Albany.
