April 23, 1938 — January 1, 2019
Jack Leroy Pellett, 80, of Alsea, passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2019, at Riverbend Medical Center.
He was born in Kelso, Washington, to Joseph and Lucy (Peacock) Pellett.
Jack was raised in Kelso, served four years in the military, then married Joan Ritchey of Alsea. Jack loved fishing, camping and hunting more than life itself.
He loved to share his stories about his adventures. Jack’s primary occupation was logging, but he was a highly skilled carpenter, electrician, excavator, plumber, welder, mechanic, painter, gardener and cooked a mean pot of chili. He truly was a Jack of all trades.
He is survived by his children, Mike, Kenny, Kelly and Donnie; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joan in 2015.
A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, January 11, at Alsea Grange Hall. Final burial and military honors will follow at Alsea Cemetery.
