May 3, 1924 — January 3, 2018

Alberta May Gilder passed into the wonderful loving arms of Jesus on January 3, 2018 at the age of 93 ½.

She was the youngest of two children born to Samuel and Francis Price.

She lived with her family in Southern California. She loved camping and going to the beach with her family and friends.

She married Ivan J. Gilder in 1945, when they moved to Oregon to start their family. Their daughter, Margie and son, Bob were born in Corvallis.

She visited Israel and Europe twice with a Christian ministry group, and enjoyed the fellowship of Christian believers.

Alberta was a dearly loved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

She is survived by her daughter, Margie; son Bob (wife Peggy); seven grandchildren, Matthew South (wife Kathy), Kaylee Suitors (husband Dustin), Cortney South, Carrie South, Bryan Gilder (wife Suzanne), Brent Gilder (wife Jennifer) and Cammy Greig (husband Nathaniel); 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

She spent her life loving and serving the Lord with many years of Christian ministry in their home. She was President of Women’s Aglow in the early 70’s.

Alberta will always be remembered by her sweet, gentle and loving heart – always with open arms to help.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Calvary Chapel, 2125 NW Lester Ave, Corvallis. A private family graveside will be held at Oaklawn Memorial Park.
