A Lebanon man was sentenced to more than 10 years in prison for two sex crimes on Monday afternoon in Linn County Circuit Court.
Kurtis Eugene Self, 58, had pleaded no contest to first-degree sex abuse and attempted first-degree sex abuse, crimes from two separate cases, on Friday.
Five other sex crimes charges were dismissed as part of the negotiated settlement.
The first-degree sex abuse allegedly occurred in 2010, and the victim was a girl younger than 14. The attempted sex abuse occurred in July, and the victim was a minor female.
Self knew both victims.
He will not be eligible to earn time off for six years of the prison stint. Self will be able to reduce a portion of the remaining four year sentence in the custody of the Oregon Department of Corrections.
In December 1994, Self was convicted after pleading no contest to two counts of first-degree sex abuse in two separate cases. Both victims were girls under the age of 12, and the crimes occurred between 1989 and 1991, according to court paperwork.
