Hoop Dreams Basketball will be putting on an open basketball clinic for boys and girls in grades 8-12 at East Linn Christian Academy or Lebanon High School on July 14.
The clinic, which is headed by Hoop Dreams founder and prominent Portland-area basketball trainer Kumbeno Memory, costs $40 to participate.

Chamber golf tourney sold out
The Lebanon Chamber Golf Tournament at the Mallard Creek Golf Course on July 13 has sold out.
Although the 13th annual tournament fundraiser, which is sponsored by the Western University of Health Sciences, is full, you may still attend the event to witness the round of golf, play mini games or make a donation.

The American Youth Soccer Organization Region 870 will hold its first fall season registration at the Hill Street Church of Christ.
The church in Albany opens the first three-hour registration on July 14 at 10 a.m. before a 90-minute session on July 17 at 7 p.m.
The Lebanon Elks Lodge, 633 Park Street, will also hold a 90-minute registration on July 17 at 7 p.m.
All first-time players will need proof of age with a birth certificate or immunization card.

Lebanon High School girls tennis coach Alaina Meek will be teaching tennis classes at the school’s courts this summer for players of all abilities.
All classes cost $30 for 12 total hours of instruction.
The coach’s 12th summer of classes begins with the Tennis for High Schoolers class. The Monday, Wednesday and Friday class, for athletes hoping to play for LHS in 2013, runs through the summer.
The two-week middle school class runs Monday through Thursday, starting on Aug. 6.
The 8- to 11-year-old class, which begins at 10 a.m., is open through July 19.
Family classes, which are open to all participants, goes through July 26. The cost is $30 per person, or $50 per family.

LHS volleyball camps Aug. 13-15
Lebanon High School will offer summer volleyball camps for girls in grades 5-12 at the school.
The three-day camp begins on Aug. 13, with grades 5-8 opening with the first two-hour class at 9 a.m.
High school athletes will begin each day at 11 a.m. to learn from the trained and experienced LHS coaching staff headed by Jorden Swanson.
The cost is $50, and checks may be made out to LHS.

Gridiron Alumni is looking to assemble teams for a game to be played in September.
Athletes are encouraged to build a team of players from the Linn County area for one final full-contact game, which also will bring an opportunity for fundraising.
Only the first 40 players to sign up for each team will be eligible to play. The first teams to get 30 players will have home-field advantage.

LBCC summer volleyball camp
Linn-Benton Community College is hosting a three-day middle school volleyball clinic at the LBCC Activities Center Aug. 7-9.
Roadrunners volleyball coach Jayme Frazier will be instructing each of the three-hour sessions at the LBCC Albany campus.
The cost is $60 if registered before July 15, and $75 after. The camp includes instruction on all aspects of the game, including serving, passing, hitting, setting, blocking and defense.
Grades six and seven begin each day at noon, with eighth- and ninth-graders starting at 1 p.m.

The 2012 Santiam Christian High School volleyball camp will be led by Portland State head coach Michael Seemann and his staff July 23-25.
A camp for players in fifth- through eighth-grades will be hosted by SC head coach Kim McLain July 26-27.

The 40th annual Forest Grove Concours d’Elegance will take place on the campus of Pacific University on July 15.
