CATHEDRAL CITY, Cailf. — The Oregon State softball team snapped a seven-game losing streak on Friday night with a 9-1 victory over Virginia in the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic.

Alexis Gonzalez went 2 for 3 with two RBIs, including a run-scoring double in the first for the early lead.

Meanwhile, pitcher Amanda Najdek rebounded with a complete-game three-hitter with four strikeouts and no walks.

OSU (4-10) scored four runs in the fifth inning on bases-loaded walks.

The Beavers play today against Pacific (noon) and Tennessee (7:30 p.m.).
