Purple Burst 10-11-17

Forecasters at the National Weather Service say that showers are beginning to spread into the mid-valley and likely will affect Wednesday's morning commute.

The Weather Service said lightning has been detected along the coast, and there is a chance of thunderstorms inland as well.

Expect brief heavy rain, forecasters said, small hail, and gusty winds. Forecasters urged people to take cover if threatening weather approaches. Use caution driving through any

heavier showers, the Weather Service said in its Wednesday morning statement, and slow down.
