Stephen Lee Schrader died Thursday, July 27, 2017 in a Tyler, Texas hospital.

He was born February 24, 1941 in Albany to the late Frank Schrader and Ruth Patterson Walter.

Stephen graduated from Lebanon High School in Lebanon and from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.

He served in the U.S. Air Force as a Flight Simulator Specialist at Webb Air Force Base in Big Spring from 1960-1964.

He worked as a professional engineer until his retirement.

He married Wanda Skaggs and together they had one child.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Overton.

Survivors include his wife Wanda of Overton; three children, Stephanie Schrader of Austin, Texas, Tamara Schrader of Houston, Texas and Frederick Schrader of Brookston, Indiana; four sisters, Susan Schrader Smith of Beaverton, Kathy Walter of Clackamas, Jennifer Walter of Lebanon, and Lori Walter of Portland; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
