May 27, 1925 — January 2, 2018

Stephanna Louise McMinn (Stevie) was born to Bryan T. and Stephanna Louise Odell McMinn on May 27, 1925 in Seattle, Washington. Stevie graduated from St. Nicholas School in Seattle, and attended University of Washington in Home Economics where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta. While she was there she met her future husband, John Glenn Mingle, on a blind date. They were married August 31, 1946.

When John continued his education at OSU, they lived in Corvallis from 1948-1949. Through John’s work at Chevron, they moved first to Richmond, California and then to The Hague, Netherlands (1957-60). Stevie loved this time in their lives.

In 1960, they returned to Corvallis where John joined the faculty at OSU in the Mechanical Engineering Department.

Stevie was a homemaker and in 1964 began to work at OSU Bookstores in the book department - a dream job for a bookaholic! She retired in 1982.

She loved the years they spent traveling in their small plane and in their motor home, taking many trips around the country and to Alaska with friends and grandchildren. They took many cruises over the years that Stevie enjoyed immensely.

Stevie volunteered in many organizations and clubs, her longest associations were with the PEO Sisterhood, Ch BP, Corvallis, and OSU Folk Club Thrift Shop.

She was an extremely talented seamstress, knitter, needle pointer and quilter. There were very few craft classes she passed up over the years and her family has been the happy recipients of many of these loving projects.

Stevie was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, John.

She is survived by her sister, Cindy Darling; her children, Bryan Mingle and wife, Valerie, and Kris Eubank and husband, Rob; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

At her request there are no services and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to PEO or OSU Folk Club Thrift Shop.

Stevie was a wonderful wife, devoted Mother, grand and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed.
