Ronald "Larry" Wollam, 63, of Lebanon, died of

cancer May 20, 2009, at an Albany care home.

A celebration of life will be held May 30 at Huston-Jost Funeral Home.

He was born March 11, 1946, in Moorefield, Neb., the son of Vernon and Viva (Hanes) Wollam. He attended Lebanon schools, graduating from Lebanon Union High School in 1964.

Mr. Wollam attended one year of college and then went to barber/beauty school. He was the owner operator of Larry's Barber Shop and Hair Impression in Lebanon for 20 years. He also worked as a barber in the communities of Sandy, Sweet Home and Brookings.

He was a commercial fisherman in Alaska in the 1990s.

Mr. Wollam worked as a fill-in barber in Lebanon and the surrounding communities until his death.

He was a member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and a member of Ducks Unlimited, a past member of the Lebanon Elks Lodge, and a member of the Southside Church of Christ.

Mr. Wollam married Micki Underwood in October of 1964. From this union were born daughters Tani and Taj. The couple later divorced.

He married Joleen Lemons in 1975. They had a daughter, Tibbette, and a son, Tyler. The couple later divorced. He married Cheryl Ray in November of 2001.

Mr. Wollam is survived by daughters Tani Barr of Philomath, Taj Shanks of Lebanon, and Tibbette Braithwaite of Albany; son Tyler Wollam of Lebanon; companion Cheryl Ray of Lebanon; sisters Veryl Peters of Salem and Alice Williams of Lebanon; 10 grandchildren; his dog Rocky; and cat Buddy.

The family requests that memorial contributions be sent to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation or Samaritan Evergreen Hospice in care of Huston-Jost Funeral Home, 86 W. Grant St., Lebanon OR 97355.
