James Lee Ebbs, 85, a resident of Dallas and formerly of Lebanon died Sunday, Aug. 6, 2017. He was born on December 26, 1931 in Estelline, Texas the son of James Thomas and Martha Parlee Jones Ebbs. He grew up in Gilroy, California. He was a Korean War Veteran and served in the Navy from 1950 to 1956. On Feb. 13, 1960, he married Yvonne Lee Trebaol in Santa Monica, California. In 1969, they moved to Lebanon. He worked at Duraflake Manufacturing for more than 25 years. He was a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints and the American Legion. He loved his family and enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing, golf and was a champion high school wrestler. He was a very patriotic man and a jack of all trades.
He is survived by his seven children: daughters Vicki Sue Hire, Cheryl Lynn Ebbs, Rhonda Leigh Ebbs, Jamie Leigh Medley, Yvonne Martha Wilson and Margaret Ann Stevens; and son Edward James Ebbs; along with 21 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Bennie Pearl Patterson.
A funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 19 in the Lebanon Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints. Interment will be at Providence Cemetery in Scio.
