Doreen A. Schulte, 80, of Albany, passed away on Thursday, November 2, at her home after a short illness.
Doreen was born to John Henry and Marie Ann (Kowalski) Lowe on April 16, 1937 in Klamath Falls.
She was united in marriage to Kenneth William Schulte on January 29, 1956 in Lebanon. They were married 61 wonderful years. They lived in the country west of Shedd for over 50 years.
Doreen grew up in the east Linn County area including Sweet Home and Lebanon.
She was a diverse artist who painted, sketched, and created imaginative wood carvings. She was an avid reader with a particular interest in science fiction and fantasy. She also spent time crocheting, collecting, and watching movies.
She spent her life as a homemaker and is survived by husband, Kenneth; daughter, Anna; sons Scott and wife Rhonda, Douglas and wife Stacey, David and wife Kim, and John and wife April; grandchildren, Levi Hillsman, Luanne Johnson, Sara Schulte, and Melanie Schulte; sister, Judith Mallory and a number of special nieces and nephews.
Doreen was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Duane.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday November 17 at Fisher Funeral Home with reception to follow.
