Christine Ruck, 54, of Lebanon, was involved in an injury collision in Corvallis on Sept. 27.

The Oregon State Police released the following account of the incident:

A driver was cited by OSP related to an injury traffic crash involving a passenger car and motorcycle Friday afternoon on Hwy 34 near Corvallis.

On Sept. 27 at approximately 4 p.m., a 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by Christine Ruck, 54, of Lebanon, was travelling eastbound on Highway 34 in the left lane.

A 2008 Volkswagen Rabbit driven by Louisa Caran, 53, of Corvallis, stopped on Freeman Road at a stop sign, pulled into the path of the motorcycle and was struck in the left rear side, ejecting Ruck off the motorcycle.

Ruck and Caran were both transported by ambulance to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center. Ruck was wearing a helmet and received non-life threatening injuries. Caran was using safety restraints and she was treated and released.

Caran was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device.

OSP was assisted at the scene by Corvallis Police Department, Corvallis Fire Department, and ODOT.

Trooper Steve Kenyon is the lead investigator. The crash scene blocked a portion of Highway 34 for about one hour.
