Award-winning author and illustrator Katherine Roy will give a talk and sign copies of her new book, "How to Be an Elephant," at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, at the Corvallis-Benton County Public Library, 645 NW Monroe Ave.
The book follows a newborn baby elephant as she learns about the skills necessary for growing up. Roy's presentation is a behind-the-scenes look at process, from her on-location field research in Kenya to the final text and watercolor illustrations.
