April is National Poetry Month. To celebrate, Grass Books and Music, 227 SW Second St., Corvallis, is hosting a reading by members of the Poetic License poetry group 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 11. Each member attending will read two to three of their own poems.

Readers at the event include: Jesse Ford; Linda Gelbrich, author of "What We Might Have Missed" and "Revealing a Few Things"; Brigitte Goetze, author of "Rose Hips" and "Potting Soil"; Catherine McGuire, "Palimpsests" and "Elegy for the 21st Century"; Wyn Schoch; Susan Shumway; Linda Varsell Smith, author of "Sparks" and "Light-Headed"; and Pam Wilson.

Cleaning up after the 2004 William Stafford Birthday Celebration in Corvallis was the catalyst that brought the poetry group together.
